RAPID CITY, S.D. — Gisela may have started out on her own, but you would never know it by the way she loves people.

She was found as a stray in the spring of 2025 and brought into A Place for Meow Rescue. Since then, she has settled into life with ease, showing just how much love she has to give. From the beginning, Gisela has been affectionate, seeking out attention and staying close to the people around her.

She is the kind of cat that wants to be near you, whether that means curling up beside you or quietly following along just to be part of the moment. She leans into pets, settles in quickly, and makes herself right at home.

Gisela also does well with other animals. She enjoys playing with other cats and has been introduced to dogs, where she remained calm and comfortable. Her easygoing nature has made her a good fit in a variety of situations.

Rescue staff say Gisela has moved on from her time as a stray and is ready for something permanent. She has already shown she can trust, connect, and settle into a home. Now she is just waiting for someone to choose her.
