RAPID CITY, S.D. — A familiar Rapid City restaurant is turning the page and inviting the community to celebrate a fresh start.

Boss’ Pizza & Chicken will host its “(re)Grand Opening” celebration on Monday, June 22, marking what new co-owners Clayton and Kyla describe as more than just a remodel, it’s the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the local restaurant.

Located at 325 E. Omaha Street, Suite 6, Boss Pizza & Chicken has served the Rapid City community for years. While customers will still find the menu items they’ve come to know and love, the new ownership team has invested in creating an updated experience designed to better reflect the future of the business.

“This is really a new beginning for Boss Pizza & Chicken in Rapid City,” the owners said. “We wanted to create an experience that better reflects who we are and where we’re headed.”

Guests visiting the restaurant will notice refreshed décor, a cleaner and more inviting atmosphere, and a renewed focus on customer experience. The goal, they say, is to make Boss Pizza & Chicken the go-to destination for pizza, chicken, pasta, appetizers, catering, and late-night dining in Rapid City.

For Clayton and Kyla, taking over the business presented an opportunity to build upon an already established foundation while bringing their own vision and energy to the restaurant.

“What excited us most was the opportunity to build on a strong foundation while bringing our own passion, experience, and ideas to the business,” they said. “Boss already had brand recognition and loyal customers, but we saw tremendous potential to take things to the next level.”

Their vision can be summed up in three words: “Bigger, Better, and Bossier.”

That vision extends beyond the menu. The new owners hope to continue investing in their employees, expand catering opportunities, grow their customer base, and strengthen their connection to the community.

The June 22 celebration is designed to do exactly that.

From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., customers can take advantage of special in-store-only promotions, including 20 percent off appetizers, six traditional wings for $7, and a medium pizza with a four-piece chicken meal for just $15.99. Every order will also receive a special gift and an entry for a chance to win free pizza for a year.

The giveaways and specials, however, are about more than attracting attention.

“This celebration is really about saying thank you,” the owners said. “We wanted to recognize the customers who have supported Boss Pizza & Chicken over the years while also inviting new guests to come see what’s changed and experience what we’re all about.”

Perhaps the most meaningful part of the event is its charitable component. Fifty percent of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Pink Ladies Dart League, a local organization known for its charitable efforts throughout the community.

“Community involvement isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we believe in,” they said. “Local businesses thrive because of community support, and we think it’s important to give back whenever possible.”

The owners say partnering with the Pink Ladies Dart League reflects the kind of community-focused business they hope Boss Pizza & Chicken becomes in the years ahead.

“We hope this is just the beginning of many partnerships with local organizations and causes throughout the Black Hills.”

In a city with no shortage of dining options, the owners believe Boss Pizza & Chicken stands out because of its variety, quality, value, convenience, and commitment to customer service. They also point to generous portions, late-night hours, and local ownership as key ingredients in the restaurant’s success.

As they prepare to welcome the community through their newly refreshed doors, they have one simple message.

“Thank you for the opportunity. We invite everyone to stop by, meet the new ownership team, experience the refreshed restaurant, and see why we’re committed to being Bigger, Better, and Bossier.”
