Only a trio of Black Hills State men’s cross country athletes were in action on Friday morning at Amend Park, as each tallied finishes in the top half of the 97-runner field at the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears Open, co-hosted by Montana State Billings and Rocky Mountain. Leading the way with a top-15 finish was Quinn Bruch, one of two freshmen competing for the Green & Gold alongside Ian Weich, while senior Alberto Spotted rounded out the group as they each ran in their first 8K of the season.
