RAPID CITY, SD – A local arts and antiques staple is preparing for a dual celebration this May as it marks a milestone in its leadership and its commitment to the community.
Dandelion Bouquet Arts & Antiques, located in Rapid City, will host its monthly Sip N Shop event on May 1st from 4-8pm with an added layer of significance this spring. The upcoming open-house style evening will serve as the first anniversary celebration for shop owner Molly Sylvester, who took over the business one year ago.
Since assuming ownership, Sylvester has focused on transforming the retail space into a hub for local makers and small business owners. The monthly events allow guests to explore the shop and support various vendors in a relaxed environment with provided refreshments.
“Over the past year, Molly has poured so much into creating not just a shop, but a space that uplifts local makers, supports small businesses, and fosters genuine community connection,” the shop announced in a statement regarding the upcoming anniversary.
The Sip N Shop gatherings have become a regular fixture in the Rapid City small business scene, designed as an informal way for residents to engage with the creative community. For the May edition, the shop is seeking community involvement through word-of-mouth support and contributions for giveaways to honor the owner’s first year of operations.
Organizers stated the goal of the expanded event is to demonstrate the community’s appreciation for the environment Sylvester has built over the last year.
