The NCAA announced the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championship qualifiers on Tuesday afternoon, which included the pair of Drew Lehman (triple jump) and Evan Smith (800m run) of the Black Hills State University men’s track & field program. It will be the first national championship appearance for both sophomore athletes, and it will be the first indoor national qualifiers for the Yellow Jackets men since the distance medley relay team of Jordan Theisen, Tristan Hepp, Levi Fried, and Jonah Theisen in 2019. The NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Championships are set to be held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on March 13-14.
