RAPID CITY, S.D. — Downtown Rapid City will once again turn green as the 4th Annual Lepre-Con Pub Crawl returns on Saturday, March 14, bringing a full day of St. Patrick’s Day–themed fun, friendly competition, and community celebration.
Lepre-Con invites participants to explore a variety of downtown bars while dressed in festive Irish attire, earning the chance to win prizes along the way. This year’s participating locations include Murphy’s, 445, Paddy’s, Press Start, The Social House, Pour 54, Woodland Republic, Aby’s, Skybox, and Thirsty’s. 10 Bars this year are participating, the most ever for the Lepre-Con.
The event kicks off at noon with the Running of the Gingers, a relay-style race inspired by a beer mile, St. Patrick’s Day–style. Teams will race, rotate, and celebrate in good humor, with the winning team receiving a $250 gift card from Murphy’s. The race serves as the official start to the Lepre-Con festivities.
Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes, including gift cards from all participating pubs. In addition, Lepre-Con attendees will be entered for a chance to win $1,000 in Allegiant Airlines flight vouchers, making the event not only a local celebration but also an opportunity for future travel.
Organizers say Lepre-Con has grown into a highly anticipated annual event that supports local businesses while creating a fun, inclusive atmosphere downtown. The crawl encourages responsible participation and emphasizes community engagement through collaboration with local bars and sponsors.
