BOX ELDER, S.D. — Military banners honoring service members and veterans are now on display along Villa Drive in Box Elder as part of the “Heroes Among Us” Military Banner Program.
The program, which celebrates the nation’s 250th anniversary, features personalized banners displaying the photo, branch of service and rank of military members recognized by family members and sponsors.
Organizers said the banners will remain on display through Labor Day. After the display period ends, participants will be contacted directly to coordinate pickup of their banners.
The program was created to recognize and honor military heroes and their service to the Box Elder community and the nation.
Organizers thanked the community for its support and participation in helping make the tribute possible.
