DEADWOOD, S.D. – Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort has officially opened Bookie’s, a new venue combining sports betting, elevated dining, handcrafted cocktails, and premium whiskey for visitors across the Black Hills region, including nearby Rapid City.
Located in the space previously occupied by Paddy O’Neill’s Irish Pub, Bookie’s offers a new spin on the traditional sportsbook experience. The menu includes items such as artisan charcuterie boards, a Pork Lollipop Trio, Carne Asada Tacos, and Snakebite Pasta.
“Bookie’s brings together some of the things our Guests enjoy most, including sports betting, premium spirits, quality food, and a unique atmosphere,” said Jonathan Scroggins, Resort General Manager at Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort. “Whether you’re here to watch the game, place a bet, enjoy a great meal, or relax with friends, Bookie’s offers an experience unlike anything else in Deadwood.”
The venue design incorporates private whiskey lockers, suspended whiskey barrel displays, private booths, and lounge seating with multiple TV viewing areas.
“From the beginning, the goal was to create a space that felt special the moment you walked in,” said Justin Henrichsen, project consultant with Windsor Block in Rapid City. “From the whiskey barrels overhead to the private whiskey lockers and lounge-style seating, every detail was selected to create a feeling. We wanted Bookie’s to be impressive and memorable while still feeling comfortable and approachable.”
Austin Burnham, Vice President of Operations at LIV Hospitality, noted that the location is built to be a full hospitality experience.
“It’s a place where sports betting, premium whiskey, great food, and hospitality come together in one experience,” Burnham said. “Whether you’re meeting friends for dinner, settling in for a big game, or exploring our whiskey selection, there’s simply nothing else like it in the region.”
A Grand Opening Party is scheduled for Oct. 9-10, featuring sports betting action, food and drink, and a $10 Free Play offer for Clubhouse Members who dine during the event.
