Rapid City, SD – Natural Grocers announced today, July 8th, they will be opening their Downtown Rapid City location on July 22nd.

Jersey Mike’s Subs and Juna sleep, located in the same lot are now open for business.

Jersey Mike’s, the popular sub sandwich chain has opened its doors in the commercial block located at 855 Omaha St., operating directly alongside the future site of Natural Grocers.

Juna Sleep Systems, the regional customizable mattress retailer is now welcoming customers to its new Rapid City showroom. The expansion marks the company’s third location, following its original Sioux Falls showroom and factory and a second store in Ankeny, Iowa.

“It means a lot to bring Juna to my hometown.” Said part-owner and team member Nate Potratz. “I’m excited to spend more time in the Hills and to build something here that reflects the values of this community — local ownership, transparency, and quality.”

The lot, a former Albertsons, has been vacant since 2017 and is being designed by Dream Design International.

“From the start, our goal has been to listen to the people of Rapid City,” said a Dream Design International spokesperson. “They told us what they want-a walkable grocery option downtown, more restaurants, and places to stay active. That’s exactly what we’re building toward.”

Natural Grocers grand opening on July 22nd includes a community donation presentation to Feeding South Dakota, a ribbon-cutting ceremony with community leaders, giveaways, discounts and free samples.
