RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 ended their run at the Central Plains Region with a loss to the Carpetland Rugs Sunday, 5-1.

CarpetLand Rugs 18U got on the board in the first inning after Bradyn Erickson doubled, scoring two runs. They then added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Post 22 Hardhats committed an error, and the Rugs scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.

Fisher Irons earned the win for CarpetLand. The pitcher surrendered six hits and one run over five innings, striking out one and walking three. Brixton Steen pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for the Post 22 Hardhats. The pitcher gave up five hits and one run (zero earned) while, striking out one and walking one. Reegan Turnquist took the loss for Post 22. The starting pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking five.

Leadoff hitter Aiden Roberts led Post 22 with three hits in three at bats.
