RAPID CITY, SD – The Rapid City Post 22 Hardhats hosted Sturgis Post 33 at Fitzgerald Stadium on Friday night, downing the Titans 15-1 in five innings.

Sturgis struck first, plating a run in top of the first inning after an error by the Hardhats.

Post 22 answered with six runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a 6-1 lead. The Hardhats continued the scoring barrage, adding one run in the second inning, three in the third and five in the fourth to defeat the Titans in their first game of the summer season.

Maddux Kraft got the pitching win for Post 22 while Cael Pool took the loss for Sturgis Post 33.

The Hardhats (13-3) pounded out 10 hits and were led by Blayn Hunt, who went 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

Sturgis Post 33 (0-1) had five errors and just one hit, a single by Kjell Sundstrom.

The Titans are in action next on June 9th as they travel to Sioux Falls to take on Post 15.
