RAPID CITY, S.D. – Regional live entertainment promoter Jade Presents announced today it is closing its doors after more than 30 years in business.
The independent promoter shared the news in a social media statement, pointing to an unsustainable operating environment caused by rising costs, shifting touring economics, post-COVID challenges, and increasing pressure on independent promoters.
“After more than 30 years of bringing live entertainment to our community, it is with deep heartbreak that we share that Jade Presents is closing its doors,” the company stated.
The sudden closure immediately impacts scheduled events across the region. Jade Presents confirmed that upcoming shows at Bluestem and the UP District Festival Field will not move forward. The status of scheduled events at the Fargo Theatre and the Aquarium remains uncertain.
The promoter noted that logistical and legal details are still evolving, leaving questions about ticketing and financial recovery unanswered for the time being.
“Because legal matters are still unfolding, we cannot yet provide definitive information regarding ticketing, refunds, reimbursements, credits, claims, or related processes,” the company stated. “We understand those questions are important, and we will continue sharing verified information as we are able.”
The company expressed gratitude to the artists, audiences, partners, venues, vendors, sponsors, and employees who supported its operations over more than three decades.
“Beyond the logistics, there is a very human side to this moment,” the company statement read. “We are mourning the loss of a company, a mission, and work we genuinely loved.”
