RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper boys wrestling team won the Rapid City Invite Saturday, edging out Winner by four and a half points to finish at the top of the standings.

Five Scoopers placed in the top four of their respective weight classes, including two first place finishers.

Tyler Baldwin took first in 120, while Zhoel Irion finished on top in 215.

On the girls’ side, several West River grapplers took home titles.

Kyra Vandenberg from Belle Fourche was the champion at 100 pounds, the Scoopers’ Annalee Pierson won 115, and Rapid City Central’s Anna Henstein was the winner at 125. Also at 190, Jessica Hite from Custer finished atop the podium.
