STURGIS, S.D. – Hundreds of Ford Mustang owners and enthusiasts from across the nation are gearing up to descend on Sturgis for the annual Sturgis Mustang Rally, with main events taking place Sept. 2-6, 2026. Recognized as one of the premier Mustang-exclusive events in the country, the week-long rally combines high-performance motorsports with scenic Black Hills cruising.
While Sturgis is world-famous for motorcycle culture, the Sturgis Mustang Rally shifts the spotlight to American muscle. Attendees will experience action-packed events, including drag racing, autocross competitions, burnout contests, poker runs, and the signature Show & Shine car show taking over downtown Sturgis. Visitors traveling from nearby Rapid City can easily access the spectator-friendly festivities just a short drive down Interstate 90.
