STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Council received the April 2026 sales tax collections report Monday night.
Sturgis City Administrator Aaron Jordan says April’s collections are 7.4-percent higher than April of 2025.
He says it indicates continued positive growth trends and sustained economic activity within the community.
Meanwhile, Jordan says the Triple-B collections for April of 26 were half-a-percent lower than April of 2025.
Despite a slight decline in April collections compared to last year, year-to-date revenues continue to reflect overall growth in tourism, hospitality, entertainment and restaurant-related activity within the community heading into the summer and Rally season.
