DEADWOOD, S.D. — Country music star Trace Adkins will bring his signature baritone voice and decades of hit songs to Deadwood Mountain Grand on Friday, May 15, 2026, as part of a tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut album Dreamin’ Out Loud.
Since his debut in 1996, Adkins has sold more than 11 million albums, charted 20 songs on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 and placed 15 singles in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. His music has amassed more than two billion streams, accompanied by multiple Grammy nominations and awards from the Academy of Country Music and CMT.
Adkins’ upcoming album, The Way I Wanna Go, features 25 new tracks reflecting on his career and musical roots. Influenced by his Louisiana upbringing, the project blends traditional country ballads with modern, high-energy anthems while continuing the independent spirit that has defined his tenure as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Produced by Mickey Jack Cones and Derek George and released by Verge Records, the album showcases a wide range of sounds and collaborations. Featured guests include Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Stevie Wonder on harmonica, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Keb’ Mo’ and Melissa Etheridge.
“I am at the top of my game right now,” Adkins said. “I’m better at this than I’ve ever been in my life, and I like the way my voice sounds better now than 25 years ago.”
Songs such as “Heartbreak Song” and “Where I Am Today” highlight Adkins’ reflective side, while tracks like “Careful Girl” and “Got It Down” tap into the rugged confidence that first propelled him to No. 1 with “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing.” Patriotic themes remain central in “Somewhere in America,” while “Empty Chair” honors the sacrifices of U.S. service members.
Tickets for the Deadwood Mountain Grand concert go on sale Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at 10 a.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or by calling the Spotlight Box Office at 605-559-1188. Deadwood Mountain Grand is a 21-and-older venue, and valid identification is required for entry.
