SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A historic local election on the opposite side of South Dakota as the Sioux Falls mayoral runoff election has concluded yesterday, June 23rd, with a microscopic two-vote margin separating the two candidates.
According to official data released by the City of Sioux Falls election office, Christine Erickson holds a razor-thin lead over Jamie Smith. Erickson received 18,279 total votes, while Smith garnered 18,277 total votes. Both candidates secured exactly 49.91 percent of the total vote share.
