RAPID CITY, SD — Monument Health invites the Rapid City community to come together for one of its most meaningful fundraising events of the year, the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Radiothon. Taking place on Friday, May 8, the 12-hour broadcast will run from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. live from the Fairmont Lobby at Monument Health Hospital, in partnership with HomeSlice Media Group. The event brings together healthcare teams, pediatric patients and families, and community members for a shared purpose: supporting local children in need of critical care.
Throughout the day, listeners will hear powerful, real-life stories from children, families, and care teams who have been directly impacted by CMN-supported services. These are local families whose lives changed in an instant when a child needed specialized medical care. From fragile beginnings in the NICU to unexpected pediatric emergencies, these stories reflect moments of fear, resilience, and hope made possible through care delivered right here at Monument Health.
The importance of this care being close to home cannot be overstated. CMN donations help ensure that families do not have to travel long distances during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Instead, children can receive advanced pediatric and neonatal care right here in our community, supported by skilled teams. Every year, thousands of children across our region benefit from this care.
The Radiothon is built on the belief that community generosity creates life-changing impact. Every dollar raised stays local, helping fund essential pediatric equipment, family support programs, and services that are critical to the care and comfort of children facing medical challenges. From life-saving equipment in the NICU to resources that support families, community support directly strengthens care at Monument Health
today.
Community members are encouraged to tune in throughout the day on HomeSlice Radio stations or participate by donating. Supporters can give in a variety of ways, including calling in during the event, donating online, or responding to social media calls to action shared throughout the day. Every moment of the broadcast is an opportunity to take part in something immediate and meaningful.
On May 8, the Rapid City community has a chance to do something simple that creates extraordinary impact: Listen. Share. Give. Because when our community comes together, children right here at home receive the care, comfort, and hope they need.
