RAPID CITY, SD – The 25th Guitar Masters showcase is set to take place at the Dahl Arts Center on Friday, April 17th at 7:00pm. The event will benefit Backroom Productions programs such as their Dacoda Instrument Drive, Readiatrics Book Drive, and more.

The Guitar Masters play in a song showcase structure, taking turns down the line as they show off their unique style and techniques. Each year, the audience is treated to a performance that runs the gamut and defies genre. Truly, the Guitar Masters have consistently brought their a special flair to each and every performance.

This year’s Guitar Masters lineup is expected to similarly deliver: Andy Young, former Rapid City resident and current member of local group Judd Hoos, describes his style as “rock, melody, and balance.” Spearfish resident Tyler Bills, who has appeared in several solo and group projects, aims to bring a touch of “rock and ‘made ya look’” to this year’s Guitar Masters. Local blues guitarist and frontman for Stillhouse Down Johnny Hastings returns to the Guitar Masters stage this year and brings with him promises of blues “to infinity and beyond.” Also from Spearfish, Jason Guthmiller, who many may know as co-founder of the Queen City Songwriters Invitational, self-describes his style as “rock, blues, Spanish guitar.”

Tickets for Guitar Masters are $20 for adults, $15 for students and children. Advance tickets are available at backroomproductions.org and at the door.
