David A. Heinrich A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and man of faith, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. David was born on March 4, 1943, in Isabel, South Dakota. He graduated from Black Hills State College in Spearfish in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. His dedication to education and rural South Dakota was recognized in 1986 when he received an award from the South Dakota Department of Agriculture in appreciation of his service as a one-teacher country school educator. His career reflected the same values that guided his life: hard work, dedication, and a commitment to serving others. David shared a beautiful and enduring marriage of 39 years with his wife, Maxine Heinrich. Their life together was a testament to love, commitment, and faith. Through every season of life, they stood faithfully beside one another. The love David and Maxine shared was an example of what it means to choose, cherish, and care for one another throughout a lifetime. David built a legacy centered on faith, family, hard work, and love. His faith was an important part of who he was. Through both joyful seasons and difficult ones, his faith remained a foundation in his life and an example to his family. His family will remember him with tremendous gratitude, not simply for the years he lived, but for the lives he touched, the example he set, and the many lessons, memories, traditions, and love he gave so freely. David is survived by his loving wife, Maxine Heinrich; his three siblings, Emma Ogdahl, Art Heinrich (Lois Heinrich), and June Busse (Leonard Busse); his five children, Cindy Brooks (Doug Woldt), Julie Kolstad (Eric Kolstad), Tom Heinrich (Shannon Heinrich), Casey Heinrich (Raiza Heinrich), and Michael Heinrich (Alex Heinrich); 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Lena Heinrich, and his siblings, Ed Heinrich, Violet Voller, and Ruby Wharton. David will be deeply missed, but his family finds comfort in knowing that his earthly journey is complete and that the love he gave them will remain with them always. “WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT. ” MATTHEW 25:23
