Emanuel Littlewhiteman was born on February 13, 1966, to Wayne and Lucy White Dirt Littlewhiteman.
Emanuel was a man who brought laughter wherever he went. He had a gift for making others smile, and his storytelling kept family and friends entertained with tales of his many adventures. No matter how far his travels took him, he always found his way back home.
He was a proud father and an even prouder grandfather, cherishing the time he spent with his family.
One of Emanuel’s greatest passions was working with horses. A skilled horse shoer, he dedicated much of his life to caring for horses and spent his younger years working on ranches.
After the passing of his father, he traveled with his older brothers before finding work in restaurants, where he discovered a love and talent for cooking.
Emanuel was deeply connected to his Northern Cheyenne heritage. He was a devoted Sun Dancer and a fluent speaker of the Northern Cheyenne language. He carried great pride in his culture and traditions, sharing them with those around him throughout his life. Emanuel was a part of the Sundance, Lizard paint and part of the Elk Scraper Clan.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Linda Littlewhiteman, Charlotte Bear Robe, and Cactus Littlewhiteman; his siblings, Collins Littlewhiteman, Sam Littlewhiteman, Ethelene Littlewhiteman Stump, and Janice Littlewhiteman; along with many grandchildren, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Emanuel was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Lucy White Dirt Littlewhiteman; his brothers, David Littlewhiteman and Dewayne Littlewhiteman; his beloved wife, Lisa Bear Robe; Brenda Gould of Wyoming; and many other cherished relatives who have gone before him.
Though Emanuel’s journey on earth has come to an end, the laughter he shared, the stories he told, the love he had for his family, and the pride he carried for his people will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The funeral is July 7, 2026 at the Catholic Church at 10:00a.m., in Lame Deer. Burial is at White Dirt Cemetery.
