Southwestern Meade County, including Sturgis, remained in severe drought with the rest of southern Meade County listed in moderate drought.

Northern Meade County is showing no drought with a small portion abnormally dry.

Central Pennington County is in severe drought along with the remainder Custer County.

Moderate drought conditions have begun spreading northward into northeastern South Dakota.

The Yankton area of southeast South Dakota remains in extreme drought.
