Mary enjoyed staying active and had a love for sports, including golfing, skiing, volleyball, bowling, and swimming. She also enjoyed dancing, acting, arts and crafts, and creating beautiful tole paintings.

Mary and Rod shared a passion for horseshoe pitching, organizing tournaments and contributing to the sport for many years. In 1993, they were honored with induction into the National Horseshoe Pitchers Hall of Fame.

In 1999, Mary and Rod moved to Pine Haven, Wyoming, where Mary continued her dedication to helping others. She founded the Keyhole Chapter of Royal Neighbors of America, raising funds to support local families, children’s activities, and community organizations.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, and daughter.

Above all, Mary treasured her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Christi Haggberg (Daniel Haggberg) of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Cheryl Wolff (Jim Wolff) of Colony, Wyoming.
