RAPID CITY, SD—The City of Rapid City’s Community Enrichment Division will host a public meeting in September discussing housing and community development priorities.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, September 3 at 9 a.m. in the Circle of Friends Community Room of City Hall.

“The meeting is an opportunity for the public to provide comments, suggestions and ideas on how Rapid City’s Community Development Block Grant dollars should be utilized for housing, public infrastructure and community development needs inside Rapid City limits,” said Community Enrichment Division Manager Michelle Schuelke.

Schuelke says all input received at the meeting will be considered when drafting Rapid City’s Fiscal Year 2027 Annual Action Plan.

The public can also submit written comments by September 3 by email to michelle.schuelke@rcgov.org or mail to Community Enrichment Division, City of Rapid City, 300 Sixth Street, Rapid City, SD 57701.  Information on current programs and copies of the current 2023-2027 Consolidated Plan may be obtained by calling 605-394-4181 or visiting the CDBG program page on the City’s website.
