RAPID CITY, SD – Class of ‘24 CHS alumni, Rapid City local, and Founder of The Rocke Grace Foundation, Amélie Wilcox, has integrated awareness across the state. After receiving the Gubernatorial Proclamation, making 3/27 this date of awareness, Wilcox found another way to get the message across. Tonight, Dinosaur Park will be lit purple, the color of autoimmune disease awareness. From all parts of Rapid City, community members can look to the sky to see Rapid’s beloved dinosaurs shine in purple, to represent this important cause.
While today is the state’s official day of awareness, the advocacy doesn’t have to stop here.
On April 11th the Rocke Grace Foundation will be hosting the “South Dakota Kids That Rock” Vocal Competition and Benefit Concert at The Monument, where all proceeds will be directed to the autoimmune disease community. The competition will be judged by a celebrity panel of nationally recognized judges, with prizes, awards, and scholarships awarded to contestants!
