September 24, 2026
SPEARFISH, SD – Main Street Spearfish is scheduled to be temporarily closed from Jackson Boulevard through the Grant Street intersection, beginning on Monday, September 28, 2026, while Johner & Sons, Inc. of Spearfish completes mill and overlay work for the City of Spearfish. Depending on weather, the closure will remain in place for up to five days. During this time, no parking will be allowed on Main Street and pedestrian crossing of Main Street will be restricted, but sidewalks will be open to foot traffic. Spearfish officials say every effort will be made to minimize the disruption and complete the work as efficiently as possible. The sequence of work includes milling of the existing road surface, asphalt paving, application of fog seal, and application of pavement markings. Fresh oil will be present. In order to navigate around the closed area, officials ask residents to please follow the posted detour signs. Share via: Facebook Twitter LinkedIn More
