Nemo gears up for Lumberjack Days

NEMO, S.D. – The town of Nemo will host their 3 rd Annual Lumberjack Days this Saturday, June 27 th . The event is held at the Nemo Guest Ranch and the annual event is held for a great cause – support for the Nemo Volunteer Fire Department. Heidi Keough says they will kick things off at 11:30 with an opening ceremony followed by the Water Ball Competition. Keough says there are lumberjack activities like the cross cut saw competition and dress up like a lumberjack in your best flannel. She says there will be numerous kids activities as well. Highlighting the afternoon will be live music and a cornhole tournament. There will also be a raffle drawing and Keough says the Marines are coming this year with a pull-up competition open to everyone. Lumberjack Days runs all day Saturday at the Nemo Guest Ranch at 12730 Gust Ranch Loop in Nemo.
