STURGIS, S.D. – A day before the official start to the rally, and law enforcement in the Sturgis area have been busy responding to accidents.
Accidents are usually on the increase when the rally begins, and officials remind the public to slow down.
Among the crashes today were a pair of motorcycles that crashed off I-90’s Exit 30 and another crash that is backing up traffic in Boulder Canyon just outside Sturgis.
While no serious injuries were reported in the Exit 30 crash, injuries are reported in the crash in Boulder Canyon on Highway 14A. The Life Flight helicopter has been called in for that crash.
Traffic into Sturgis has been heavy today as the 86th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally begins.
