A life devoted to caring for others leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured in years alone. For Lynda Lee Harrison, caring was woven into nearly every chapter of her life. Whether she was working as an EMT, caring for someone as a home health aide, serving others as a waitress, working as a laboratory technician, creating a home for her family, delivering meals, or simply spending time with those she loved, Lynda found meaning in being there for others.

Lynda was born on June 7, 1945, and passed away on August 7, 2026, in Newcastle, Wyoming. Over the course of her 81 years, she built a life rich in family, service, creativity, and memories that will continue to be treasured by generations to come.

Lynda’s working life reflected the many ways in which she was willing to help. She served as an EMT, worked as a waitress, was a laboratory technician, worked as a home health aide, and devoted herself to her family as a homemaker. Each position was different, but there was a common thread running through them all: Lynda was someone who was willing to work, willing to help, and willing to step forward when someone needed her.

Her caring spirit did not end when the workday was over. Lynda enjoyed delivering meals, giving her another opportunity to connect with people and make a difference in their day. She also had a creative side that found its happiest expression in quilting. There was something special about the patience and care required to create something beautiful piece by piece, and quilting gave Lynda an outlet for that creativity.

But perhaps the greatest measure of Lynda’s life can be found in the size of the family she leaves behind and the generations that will carry her memory forward.

She is survived by her children, Denise Anderson (Wayne), Patrick Huey (Julieta), Shane Huey, Brent Wang (Sarah), Victor Wade Wang, and Emily Wang (Bill). Lynda was also blessed with 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, a remarkable family tree that represents the many lives connected to hers.

She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hart and Peg Hart, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Family was not simply a part of Lynda’s life—it was one of the greatest chapters of it. The memories shared around family gatherings, the everyday moments that may have seemed ordinary at the time, and the countless acts of care that came naturally to her will become increasingly precious as the years go by. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will each carry their own memories of Lynda, ensuring that her story does not end with her passing.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, William Hart and Bertha (Darling) Hart, her husband, Les Harrison, her two sons Chad Huey and Randy Wang. She was also preceded in death by Bill Hart, Darlene Brown, Dan Hart, Pat Hart, Bob Hart, John Hart and Duane Hart.

The measure of a person’s life is often found in what remains after they are gone. For Lynda, what remains is abundant: the family she helped build, the generations who came after her, the people she cared for throughout her working life, the meals she delivered, the quilts she created, and the memories that will be shared again and again.

She leaves behind more than a collection of dates and accomplishments. She leaves behind a family of 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, each carrying forward a piece of her story. She leaves behind children who knew her not only as a mother, but as the woman who was there through the ordinary days and the important ones. She leaves behind relatives and friends who will remember her in their own special ways.

And perhaps that is the most lasting tribute to Lynda: she spent her life caring for people, and now the people she cared for will carry her memory forward.

A celebration of Lynda’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Gateway Fellowship Church in Newcastle, Wyoming. Following the service, interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Newcastle, Wyoming. Family and friends are invited to gather together to honor Lynda, share memories, offer comfort to one another, and celebrate the life she lived.

Though Lynda’s earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave will continue through the generations she leaves behind. Her life was made meaningful through service, family, and the simple act of being there for others. Those who knew and loved her will carry those memories with them—not only in moments of remembrance, but in the everyday moments when something reminds them of her.
