BOX ELDER, S.D. — Drivers can expect multiple phased closures along Box Elder Road through April as part of ongoing construction. An early phase of closures along the corridor is currently underway and expected to continue through March 27. Additional closures are planned for late March into early April, and again from mid-April to late April. During the closure of the Ellsworth Road intersection, traffic will be detoured using Melody Lane and Drew Drive, with Liberty Boulevard also recommended as an alternate route. Officials advise drivers to use caution, especially on narrower detour routes, and plan for delays while traveling through the area.
