BROOKINGS, S.D. – A physical altercation on the field forced an early stoppage during a boys’ soccer match between Rapid City Central High School and Brookings High School on August 14th.

The incident occurred with 3:48 remaining in the first half of the game hosted in Brookings.

According to video footage of the match posted on YouTube, the confrontation began after a Brookings player collided with a Rapid City Central player. Following the collision, the Rapid City Central player shoved the Brookings player to the ground and began kicking and punching him while he was on the ground.
