STURGIS, S.D. — Hard rock powerhouse Skillet is set to make its long-awaited debut at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, bringing its explosive live show to the Legendary Buffalo Chip on Monday, Aug. 10.

The globally recognized rock quartet will take over the Wolfman Jack Stage as part of the 86th annual rally, delivering what organizers are calling one of the must-see performances of the 2026 lineup. Known for high-energy shows and arena-level production, Skillet’s debut at the Buffalo Chip is expected to be a standout moment for fans across the Black Hills.

With nearly three decades in the industry, Skillet has built a massive global following. The band has released 11 studio albums, sold more than 22 million units worldwide, and earned multiple platinum and gold certifications. Their hit song “Monster” has achieved five-times platinum status and remains one of the most-streamed rock songs of all time.

The band’s arrival adds another layer to an already diverse and generational lineup at the Buffalo Chip, which continues to attract major acts spanning multiple eras of rock. Buffalo Chip CEO Rod Woodruff said the addition of Skillet helps round out the 2026 bill.

“After seeing the truly impressive, high-energy live show that Skillet is well known for, we knew without a doubt that they would feel right at home at the Chip and that the rally audience would love every millisecond of their impressive showmanship,” Woodruff said in a statement. “Skillet represent a strong segment in the evolution of our generational rock ‘n’ roll lineup this year.”

The 2026 Buffalo Chip lineup already includes major names like Lynyrd Skynyrd, David Lee Roth, Megadeth, and YUNGBLUD, alongside a mix of country and rock acts including Lainey Wilson and Collective Soul.

Held annually in the Black Hills of South Dakota, the Buffalo Chip remains a centerpiece of the Sturgis Rally experience, offering more than just concerts. Attendees can take part in charity rides, custom bike shows, racing events, stunt performances and a variety of entertainment throughout the week.

The 2026 Sturgis Buffalo Chip festival runs Aug. 7–16. Passes and VIP upgrades for Skillet’s Aug. 10 performance are available now.

For Rapid City and Black Hills music fans, the addition of Skillet marks another major draw to what is shaping up to be one of the biggest rally lineups in recent years.
