RAPID CITY, SD – The Rapid City Council will host a special session for discussion and potential first reading of the 2027 City budget.

The special City Council budget meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, August 26, at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of City Hall. The meeting is open to the public and will be livestreamed on the City of Rapid City YouTube and Facebook pages.

The proposed 2027 budget is available for viewing by the public on the City of Rapid City’s website at www.rcgov.org . The first item listed in the Community Bookmark section on the website’s homepage is entitled ‘2027 Proposed City Budget’.

State law requires municipal budgets receive two formal ‘readings’ with approval by the City Council.
