RAPID CITY, SD—City Council President Stephen Tamang and Vice President Callie Meyer have appointed members to the City’s two major standing committees for the next year.

Lindsey Seachris will chair the City’s Public Works Committee, which will also include Council members Laura Armstrong, Josh Biberdorf, Bill Evans and Meyer. Greg Strommen will continue to chair the City’s Legal and Finance Committee and will include Council members Lance Lehmann, Kevin Maher, John Roberts and Tamang.

Roberts will continue to serve as the City Council’s liaison to the Zoning Board of Adjustment/Planning Commission. Council leadership also assigned members to more than 30 City boards, committees and commissions.

The City’s Public Works Committee meets on the Tuesday prior to the Council meeting.  The City’s Legal and Finance Committee meets on the Wednesday prior to the Council meeting.  Both meetings are at 12:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of City Hall and are open to the public.
