RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Police responded to a gunshots heard report over the weekend in the area of E. New York Street and N. LaCrosse.

On arrival, police spoke to witnesses who said the shots originated from a vehicle that had since departed the area.

Police located several shell casings in the area and damage to a nearby vehicle and residence in the 500 block of E. Philadelphia Street. No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.

The case has since been forwarded to the RCPD’s Criminal Investigations Division for further follow-up, and the incident remains under investigation.
