STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis City Council held their first August meeting Monday night and tackled a number of last-minute rally items.
The council approved a number of payroll items for rally, including the approval of workers’ compensation and liability coverages for those volunteers who will be manning the Rally Photo Tower on Main Street this year.
The council also approved the renewal of the Tom’s T’s Retail Licensing Agreement and approved the 2026 AMSOIL sponsorship agreement.
The council also approved extending the sponsorship agreement between the city and Harley Davidson.
The proposed 2026 sponsorship agreement with Harley Davidson extends the preliminary term of the agreement for the 86th Rally and continues the motorcycle company’s longstanding commitment to the Rally and the Sturgis community.
Lance Scherer is Director of Sponsorship and Marketing.
During this year’s Rally, Harley Davidson will occupy designated city-owned and controlled property, including the Sturgis Community Center and Rally Point. Harley Davidson will also act as a sponsor for the Mayor’s Ride and Military Appreciation Day.
