Meade County, S.D.- A Summerset man died Wednesday in a single-motorcycle crash near Black Hawk.

Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.

Preliminary crash information indicates the 44-year-old male driver of a 2010 Triumph motorcycle was traveling westbound on Erickson Ranch Road near the Escape Lane intersection, one mile northwest of Black Hawk, around 7 a.m. Wednesday. The driver laid the motorcycle down after the curve, left the roadway and became separated from his motorcycle. He sustained fatal injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. All information released is preliminary.
