Teresa Hatheway, age 65, of Murdo, South Dakota, died on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. (CDT) on Sunday, June 7, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Murdo, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. (CDT) on Monday, June 8, at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Murdo, with Pastor Ray Greenseth officiating.

Interment will follow at the Murdo Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband Jerry; three sons Cody (Briget) Hatheway of Draper, Chris (Amy) Hatheway of Ft. Pierre, and Andrew “Andy” Hatheway of Murdo; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother David (Kathy) Jorgensen of Spearfish; one sister Lorna (Steve) Kittelson of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; a brother-in-law Bill Eckert of Okaton; special nieces Carissa (Frank) Alloway of Rapid City, and Caitlin (Grady) Brodrecht of Presho; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents Gary and Betty Jorgensen; three sisters Margaret Jorgensen, Donna Eckert, and Donna Jean Jorgensen in infancy; and a niece Kayla Jorgensen.
