HERMOSA, S.D. – Fire crews are battling a fire in Pennington County Thursday afternoon.
The Daughenbaugh Fire was reported around noon today about four miles north of Hermosa. The fire was located east of Highway 79 off Daughenbaugh Road.
The fire was listed at just under 25 acres by Watch Duty.
It is the second grass fire sparked in as many days with the warm, dry weather this week.
Yesterday, a 17-acre fire threatened a home northwest of Spearfish off Old Highway 14.
