PUKWANA, S.D. – The highway patrol says a Wisconsin man died Friday in a single-vehicle crash near Pukwana, South Dakota.

Names of the people involved have not been released pending notification of family members.

Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2017 Ford F-250 was traveling westbound on I-90 near mile marker 273 when the vehicle began moving towards the median.

The driver attempted to correct before the Ford went over the median crossover and rolled. The driver sustained fatal injuries. His passenger was taken to a Chamberlain hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
