Obituary Vikki Lynn Comer

On Monday, September 14, 2026, Vikki Comer of Spearfish, SD, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends.

Vikki was born December 2, 1949, in Deadwood, SD, to Victor “Vic” and Mildred “Millie” Lungren. Vikki was the second of four children. Vikki attended school in Deadwood. It was during high school that Vikki met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Conrad “Con” Comer.

Vikki and Con were married on July 29, 1967 and they had their first son, Timm. They then moved to Castle Rock, so Con could attend mechanics’ college. Vikki and Con had their second son, Scott, during this time in Colorado.

In 1973, Vikki and Con moved their family back to Deadwood so their boys could be raised around the large extended family. Vikki worked at various positions in the service industry including Comer’s TV & Appliance, Lipp’s TV and Appliance, Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, managed the S-Mart and Gulches of Fun Convenience Stores, as well as Tomahawk Lake County Clubhouse.

Vikki’s personal passions were her family, especially her grandchildren, and cooking. Vikki attended all activities for her boys and continued this passion by attending her grandchildren’s activities. She loved cooking for family events and the holidays. Vikki always made sure her home was fully decorated for the Christmas Holiday Season. This included an ample supply of everyone’s favorite holiday treats. She also always had treats on hand for the everyone’s pets.

Honored to be in Vikki’s life include her husband Con of 51 years; son, Timm (Michelle) Comer of Spearfish; son, Scott (Keyra) Comer of Spearfish; and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, including Lyndy (Brandon), Lexie, Hunter (Adam), Kenna, Connor, Chelsea, Jackson (Tara), and Maxx, and her great-grandchildren, Harper, Quinn and Frasier.

So many other family members meant so much to Vikki, including her brothers, Larry (Bernie), Tom, sister Pam and brother-in-law Craig (Lori). Numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and God children.

Vikki was preceded in death by her husband Con; her parents Vic and Millie; siblings Larry and Pam; paternal grandparents Conrad and Katherine Lungren; and maternal grandparents Fred William and Jessi Harmon Timm.

In loving tribute, her sons will honor Vikki’s legacy with a memorial to honor her life that has yet to be determined.
